large bed fresh fruit central location
i stayed in a beautiful double room balcony it was a great space the bed was very large the shower had excellent water pressure i found the provided toiletries to be of good quality. breakfast included fresh fruit yogurt and a selection of cooked options i enjoyed the fresh coffee that i could have as much of as i wanted. the location was central it was a short walk to the lake i appreciated the proximity to local restaurants.

warm welcome super clean cleanliness advantageous location nearby bus stops
The hostess gave us a warm welcome and was quite helpful. i found it super clean, i was impressed by its cleanliness. the location is advantageous. I could walk to both the town center and bowness. i also appreciated being close to bus stops (especially for the return trip from bowness).
The breakfast, while included, had some organizational issues. There was a staff shortage that slowed things down significantly. it took a long time to get our food.

really good stay!
cute owner homemade shortbread rose petals
Pamela was cute upon arrival. i enjoyed a pot of tea and homemade shortbread offered to me. the owner had also thoughtfully left some wine and chocolate to celebrate my husband's retirement. the towels were arranged into swans, decorated with rose petals. It was wonderful.
the bed was a bit uncomfortable, it squeaked and had a dip in the mattress. this resulted in a poor night's sleep. there was also mould present in the shower.

the breakfast menu provided a wide array of choices. the food was lovely, cooked to my liking. i had access to as much fresh coffee as i wanted and fresh fruit was available.

The bathroom in room 14 was amazing. it featured a huge bath and a separate shower. robes are provided . This enhanced comfort.

the location is great, situated on the road between two towns. it made it easy to walk. there was plenty of parking available, an important aspect for those with cars.

The team. the attention to detail in the room was lovely. Tea, coffee and hot chocolate were provided. water was available in the fridge and wine glasses were present!

a somewhat lacking experience
mould issue musty smell
breakfast included a decent selection of cereals.
The room was a letdown. It felt quite cramped. the bathroom had issues with mould. i also noticed a lingering musty smell throughout the room, it was quite off-putting.
